INFORM-Supporting Swiss Motor-Vehicle Insurance with the fraud detection software RiskShield, which is the core of the central data base “Car Claims Information Pool” (CC-Info) for loss-information.
The INFORM software, RiskShield, has worked with Swiss Motor-Vehicle Insurers since Fall 2009, quickly recognizing fraudulent claims. As an important component of the central data base “Car Claims Information Pool” (CC-Info), developed by the Swiss Association of Underwriters, RiskShield assesses all claims filed to associated Swiss Motor Vehicle Insurers regarding fraud.

First Data Germany relies on RiskShield – contract extension
First Data Germany and INFORM agreed to continue and to extend their partnership concerning fraud prevention until at least 2012. First Data Germany uses INFORM’s software solution “RiskShield” for fraud prevention in payment at home and abroad. The usage of RiskShield is focused on fraud detection and fraud prevention with credit and debit cards (“issuing”) as well as on merchant fraud and to protect merchants against customer fraud (“acquiring”).
Due to the high transaction volume First Data requires a supreme high- performance system which offers the possibility to react quickly and flexibly to new fraud patterns without support of IT-experts. Subsequent to a new evaluation process with a high number of software providers in 2008, First Data Germany decided to optimise the already established RiskShield version for fraud prevention on merchant fraud together with INFORM in order to strengthen the own market position.

RiskShield-Client – New Release 1.40a available
With the new RiskShield-Client major release 1.40a, INFORM offers new, more comfortable and secure features for information and data processing in the calculation unit “Formula”. The calculation unit “Formula” provides mathematical calculations within decision logics. From now on, the RiskShield-Client user is given the opportunity to use the following features: Until now, it was only possible to handle floating point numbers. The new release allows calculating with various data types, e.g. text, integer (u8, u16, u32), categorical variables or matrices.
Simplified use of matrices (e.g. for claim history, transaction history, master data).
Support of various used text processing functions, e.g. determination of text length, replacement of text modules etc.

The Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) goes on with RiskShield
INFORM succeeded in expanding the existing service agreement between INFORM and GEICO for the next 5 years. Also the agreement volume has been enlarged. INFORM provides the suitable software solution RiskShield and at the same time INFORM covers maintenance for the software and the fraud prevention logic. Since 2003 GEICO uses our software solution RiskShield for fraud prevention and risk assessment in the insurance industry. GEICO is a direct insurance conducting contracts directly with the policyholder via telephone or internet. GEICO is the largest direct insurance on the American Market concerning automotive insurances.

National Bank of Greece (NBG) – RiskShield also used for fraud prevention for loan applications
At the beginning of 2008 it was achieved that the NBG uses RiskShield for fraud prevention for loan applications. At the same time it supports customer risk assessment.
The NBG is at the top of the European rankings when it comes to the efficiency of fighting fraud and since 2005 one of the customers of INFORM.

Successful with RiskShield – New client Congstar
INFORM enlarges its strategic collaboration with T-Mobile International. In future the collaboration will be expanded to other parts of “Deutsche Telekom AG”. Among T-Mobile also Congstar starts using RiskShield as its software solution to reduce customer risks. In July 2007, Congstar started its businesses as subsidiary of “Deutsche Telekom AG”. Congstar’s customers benefits from nationwide favourable broadband Internet Accesses, phoning via Internet and mobile services.

The extension of the contract includes the usage of RiskShield throughout Europe. So far, the DTAG (Deutsche Telekom AG) has used our software solution RiskShield with great success only (for customers) in Germany. This is also confirmed by Anke Heuermann, Head of Credit Management, T-Mobile:
